WARNING: SPOILERS

Life is good for Lara Jean.

She is head over heels in love, her dad’s finally getting remarried and her sister Margot is coming home for the summer.

But change is looming. And Lara Jean can’t ignore the big life decisions she has to make – where she goes to college for one. Because that would mean leaving her family – and possibly the boy she loves – behind.

When your heart and your head are saying two different things, which one should you listen to?

This is the last book of the trilogy, so it is expected to have some big thing happening somewhere in the book. For the first 2/3 chapters I was a little confused about the timeline. The second book ends around March or April and the third one begins around that time but a year later. So, if you’re like me and start reading the last one right after finishing the previous one, you can get a little confused as I did.

The book starts around springtime and everyone’s main concern is about college. Peter already knows where he’s going, UVA, which is Lara Jean’s dream college. The entire book, Lara Jean is worried about so many things. Like, where is she going to college, her dad’s wedding and her relationship with Peter. Lara Jean doesn’t want to leave her family and Peter behind, that’s why UVA is the perfect choice. She’s about 30 minutes away from home and Peter will be there with her. But as fate wanted it, she doesn’t get in UVA and so her life seems to be falling off her plan.

Lara Jean and Peter have a big decision to make. Either they try long distance, or they end their relationship. That’s their biggest problem so far. None of them admits it but their both scared of loosing each other because of the distance. But, fortunately, they have a happy ending.

As the other two books, this one is really easy to read. Lara Jean is a delightful character and we can identify so much with her. However, in this one, you can notice she is a little more mature. It’s been a year since the last book ended and she’s been in a long-term relationship with Peter. She’s not the same innocent little girl we met in the first book. However, she still puts her family and the people she loves above everything.

“Is this how it goes? You fall in love, and nothing seems truly scary anymore, and life is one big possibility?” - Chapter 6
