Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

I know it’s been over a month since my review on the first book, but I have an explanation. My first copy was missing a few pages at the end and I had to wait for the new copy to arrive.

Nonetheless, it didn’t make me love the book any less. Lara Jean’s quirkiness keeps us entertained and interested in the story.

As the first book, I didn’t want to put down this one. The classic love triangle, the other girl

who tries to destroy the relationship. This book has it all. Lara Jean’s struggle to choose between Peter and John Ambrose is delightful and the adventures she goes through can sometimes be relatable to our own struggles.

If you already watched the movie you already know what is going to happen in the book, but do you though? As I said in the review of the first book, they changed a lot of the plot in the movie. Everything happens in a different way, but I still can’t say that one is better than the other. And that’s what makes this story good. The only change I didn’t like was the John Ambrose’s appearance. As I was reading the book, I kept imagining him as Jordan Fisher, because I watched the movie first, and every time Lara Jean mentioned his bright blonde hair it was like my brain would have a bug. All the sudden, I was picturing Jordan Fisher with a really blonde hair, and it was weird.

The entire time I was hating on Genevieve and rooting for Lara Jean to end up with Peter, even though John Ambrose was also a good guy for her. I’m sorry but I’m eternally Team Peter. And what about you? Are you Team Peter or Team John Ambrose?

I have my last college exam on Monday the 15th, and hopefully I will start the third book after that so I can give the review this month too, finishing the To All The Boys trilogy.
